Overview

The Energy Transition Innovation Challenge is a Youth Innovation Programme for Clean Energy Solutions, brought to Zimbabwe by BOOST (Building Opportunities on Sustainable Talent) in partnership with the Schneider Electric Foundation. The programme is designed to identify, support and accelerate young innovators between the ages of 15 and 26 who are building solutions in the clean energy and sustainability space. The challenge is structured around four focus areas: Clean Energy, Smart Systems, Climate Tech, and Sustainable Infrastructure — all critical sectors in Zimbabwe's push toward a greener economy. Selected participants stand to benefit from a strong support package including expert mentorship, seed funding, a structured incubation programme, and direct industry exposure — giving young innovators the tools and networks they need to take their ideas to market.
